Five years of disasters led Barangay Estanza to establish proper mitigation procedures in an effort to prepare the community from future disasters and reduce the damages that are going to be sustained. In any case a disaster strikes again, the mitigation process goes as follows:
Hazard Mapping
Enforcement and adoption land use and zoning practices
Flood plain mapping
Raising of homes in flood-prone areas
Disaster mitigation public awareness programs
